How do the nervous system and the endocrine system work together to control the body? Explain with an example.
How to lay out the answer. Follow the frame, then write it in your own words.
1 · Open in one line. Control and coordination means making all organs work together at the right time; the nervous and endocrine systems do this.
2 · Nervous system. Brain, spinal cord, sense organs and nerves; fast electrical messages: stimulus → receptor → sensory nerve → CNS → motor nerve → effector.
3 · Endocrine system. Glands release hormones directly into the blood, which carries them to target organs; they control slower changes such as growth.
4 · Give a daily-life example. Eating: the eyes see food, the brain moves the hand, digestive juices flow under nerves and hormones, and the hunger centre signals fullness.
5 · Close in one line. So the two systems work as a team to keep the body running smoothly.
Scoring tip: Name both systems, say how each sends its message, and give one example in which both act.
