How is the traditional idea of peace and security different from the new or non-traditional idea?

How to lay out the answer. Follow the frame, then write it in your own words.

1 · Traditional idea. It focuses on military or armed threats from another nation to its sovereignty and territory.
2 · Traditional responses. Treaties, stronger defence and alliances based on the balance of power.
3 · The new idea is wider. It includes threats such as terrorism, insurgency, epidemics, hunger, drugs and environmental damage.
4 · The new idea centres on people. It protects individuals and communities and is a precondition for development and human dignity.
5 · Close in one line. Security today means safe borders and safe, dignified lives.

Scoring tip: Set the answer out as a comparison: for each point, one line on the traditional idea and one on the new idea.
