Explain values, goals and standards as motivational factors in home management.
How to lay out the answer. Follow the frame, then write it in your own words.
1 · Open in two lines. Values, goals and standards are the motivating forces of management. They decide what a family works for and how it judges success.
2 · Values. Beliefs about what is worthwhile. Types: intrinsic and extrinsic; theoretical, economic, aesthetic, social, political and religious. Example: health.
3 · Goals. Definite ends the family wants to achieve. Types: long-term, short-term and intermediate. Example: home-cooked, low-oil meals.
4 · Standards. Measures of quantity and quality. Types: conventional and flexible. Example: fried snacks only on Sundays.
5 · Show the link. [Diagram: values → goals → standards, each box with one home example]
6 · How they motivate. Values push the family to act, goals give direction to resources, and standards guide evaluation and the next plan.
7 · Nutrition link. Diet counselling works best when goals and standards respect the client's values.
8 · Close in one line. Clear values, realistic goals and flexible standards make management purposeful and less stressful.
Scoring tip: Carry one running example (health) through all three. It shows the link clearly and saves words.
