  1. 1 · Open in two lines. Mass methods reach large numbers at once through radio, television, print, posters, exhibitions, folk media and social media. They create awareness quickly.
  2. 2 · Draw the mass media table. [Table: medium, example, advantage, disadvantage]
  3. 3 · Merits. Wide reach, speed, low cost per person, repetition of the message.
  4. 4 · Demerits. One-way, no feedback, literacy and access barriers, misinformation.
  5. 5 · Audio-visual aids.
    • Audio: radio, recordings.
    • Visual, non-projected: flash cards, flannel graph, posters, models.
    • Visual, projected: slides, LCD.
    • Audio-visual: TV, films, puppet shows.
  6. 6 · Good aids and Dale's cone. Simple, local, attractive, accurate, pre-tested; learning grows from hearing to seeing to doing.
  7. 7 · In the community. A Poshan Maah plan mixing WhatsApp videos, posters, a puppet show and a recipe demonstration.
  8. 8 · Close in one line. Mass media make people aware; face-to-face follow-up makes them act.

Scoring tip: Name a local folk form and a current campaign (Poshan Maah); it shows the examiner you can apply the theory in Tamil Nadu.
