Section A is 35 objective questions worth 50 marks, so learn the key dates, terms, names and articles of every lesson. Practise the map work on an outline map of India until you can mark rivers, mountains, states and historical places without looking. In long answers, write five or six clear points under a short opening line.
Suggested order: Unit I, then II, then III, then IV, then V, then VI, then VII, then VIII, then IX, then X, then XI, then XII, then XIII, then XIV, then XV, and XVI last.
The term-end paper (100 marks, 3 hours, 51 questions) is set only from the 16 lessons here, across history, geography, political science and contemporary India. Lessons 0, 1, 2, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17, 18, 22, 24 and 26 are assessed only through the Tutor Marked Assignment (TMA), done at home, not in the term-end paper. Two map questions (4 marks each) use a political outline map of India.
